NVRAM ???

Hi -

When my computer starts up and it runs the memory test.
It says 256Mb NVRAM

I haven't heard of NVRAM before?

Is it good. Does it come after SDRAM or before it?

Uhhhhhh, not sure why it says "256MB NVRAM". The 'NV' in NVRAM stands for "Non-Volatile" and is normally associated with EEPROM or CMOS. In other words, it's the type of memory used to store data when the power is off.

Are you sure the post test wasn't telling you "256KB NVRAM"? A common size for the CMOS ranges from 128KB to several MB on newer motherboards.
