NVM Upgrade from 4.0.0.4C to 4.1

Anyone know if you need the keycode to upgrade a NVM from 4.0.0.4C to 4.1? I know it worked on my copper NAM without the keycode. I am guessing the keycode is for new install or 3 and earlier to 4.1 upgrades.

Can anyone confirm that?

If a NAM is at R4.0 or higher you should not need a keycode to upgrade to R4.1. I believe you can check to see if there is a software key installed under F915.

If you don't mind me asking, we have NAM 4.0 too so what is the advantage of 4.1 over 4.0?

I recently upgraded a 4.0 to 4.1 and it did not require a keycode.

obobob - they recommend upgrading to 4.1 if you are upgrading your phone system to 6.0. Also, you can edit the mailbox COS over a phone with 4.1, but other than that there is really no difference from a user standpoint.

With 6.0 the upgrade is required! The older version is not compatable. I sold my customer the 6.1 & NAM upgrade bundle. I just wanted to know if I could use the key for something else. I was fairly certain the upgrade would work without the keycode for 4.0 to 4.1, I just wanted to confirm it.
