Noticed that the Call Pilot routes a caller who makes no selection from an AA prompt back to the AA prompt and then to an attendant. NAM 3 routes right off into the attendant.

1. I can't for the life of me remember what to call this phenomenom (so am having a hell of a time in the indicies); and
2. how can it be changed, if at all?

It's called "Return to AA" yes or no.
Go to Greetings, then select AA, then you will see the prompt Return to AA. Hit CHNG to flip it.

Hope that is what you are looking for.

Marvo,
Thanks but no. Not quite what I'm looking for. When that setting is Y, then * will return caller to AA from a Mbox.
What I'm messed up about this eve is the 'what happens to the call when no selection is made from AA/CCR and the call exits to ?? where??' - (back to AA for Call Pilot and to attendant for NAM/Flash) but what controlls the destination of the call off the end of the AA/CCR?

Thanks in advance

Curly,
No I don't want to change the target attendant, I want to change whether or not the call goes back to the AA after no selection is made. On the CP100 it goes around twice before arriving at the target attendant.

Any word on a Sprint dealer?

Cheers

Arr,

I saw the same problem in my lab. i have not put any time into it yet. I will let you know if i figure it out.

What do you need a sprint dealer for? I am a sprint dealer, for what product?

Arr,
It took me a while to figure out what you ment. You said it right, but I missed what you were asking. Brain dead some days.
This time, I'll try this answer.
It's your DESTINATION TYPE in your CCR. Each information Message, and Leave Message Point must be assigned a Destination type.
1. Return the call to the Home Menu
or
2. disconnect the call.

Mine is set up as follows.
All destination types are set to Return to Home Menu
Operator is set to not avail.

Caller hears CCR menu. does nothing
Caller hears operator is not available.
Caller hears CCR menu. does nothing
This cycles through 3 or 4 times before the
Exiting the system, Good-bye drops the call

I did not try making the operator DN to NONE before posting this, but that may work even better unless you need the operator prompt. Not sure. I should have tried that for you.

Did we do it this time?

Marv0,
Yes you have it. Thanks for the confirmation. Subject came up in a CP150 install where the defined operator in F982 had to be the Call Center DN. Not sure why yet as I wasn't person primarily on this project. We were trying to stop repeats of the CCR anouncement when a caller made no selection. I seem to remember that there was a destination setting at the end of the CCR/AA announce but without being able to remove the defined attendant from F982 we have to live with the announcement.
My recomendation will be to dump the CCR/AA set up and have after hours calls terminate in an Info mail box.

Thanks for all those who replied and considered this post.

Commsguy,
Sprint telephone gear. In particular the Protege line.

Curly,
Thanks for the suggestion. I know Williams well they don't carry/buy this stuff. It was originally distributed in Canada by Imcom Ltd. They opted out of the game and Sprint USA will not ship accross the boarder to interconnects. So I am looking for an Interconnect who may want to buy an expanded CTX KSU, 30+ sets and a 4 channel voice mail. This is for a non profit organisation so I am trying to help. They have it and either need to go to the next size up MTX KSU or sell it and go into a N*.
Ugly but true.

Cheers

If i did this for you, what would i have to do legally for importing from USA to Canada? Why won't Sprint do it?

I am in Erie, PA BTW so maybe I can help and you can take a trip to Niagara Falls, NY to pick it up. I need an excuse to getto the casino there...;-)
