I'm looking to upgrade the ports on our NAM. I'd like to learn how to do this myself, and we're in no hurry. I've been quoted pricing on shipping the unit to other places, and having it done there and shipped back. Well, I can't take it down for days. That's the problem.

My question is, is there some software diskette or other means of upgrading NAM ports? How does this upgrade work? and how much is the cost? thanks in advance.

What release of NAM software do you have? DVC or Fiber connect? How many ports are you using now?

was distracted....... you've got .4.0, fiber connect. How many ports are you using now? How many do you want to add? It is a key code upgrade, the code activates the software already within the NAM. You can do it, easily...just have to purchase the codes from a distributor.

I've got a 2 Port NAM - Copper. I need to add 2 more - we're getting some heavy traffic, and have gotten to the point where we need 2 extra for now. From what I've read, you can upgrade ports by 2's.

Who distributes this kind of thing? I'll take a look on-line for this, but I take it one can't call up Nortel for the codes...

Thanks!

OK - I found a distributor and got the upgrade done. Thanks! that was too easy.
