I KNOW that the video card is having memory errors because the Dell diagnostics said so. The other reason being the funky patterns on the laptop screen when it's booted up (looks like somebody ran an eraser over a white board in spotsz) AND the funky lines on the screen in BISO setup even when output to an external monitor.
Sooooooooooooooooo - having said that, I'm buying a refurbished replacement from Dell. Problem solved. But, is there any reason to keep the old one?? Does anyone take them and replace the memory chips on them to make them "refurbished" again???
Just want to know if I should recycle it or try to sell it somewhere.
