I have an Aopen fx 5200 and I have noticed that when the screen saver is on for about 2 to 3 minutes it comes up with the same message about signal loss and and and the monitor will then go into power save mode. When I reboot it tells me that the driver for this video card is causing the instability problems. I am still able to play Battlefield 1942 and run Intervideo WinDVD. When I update to the newest, latest NVIDIA drivers, The computer will totally freeze when starting BF1942 even before the intro movie comes on and will lock up when opening WinDVD. My system specs are:

AMD 1.4 GHz T-Bird
512 MB PC2100 DDR
MSI ms-6341 board
AOpen Aeolus G-Force FX 5200
40 GB 7200 rpm HDD
Win XP PRO sp1
2 case fans and Cooler Master processor fan and heat sink

Right now I am running the driver that came with the video card and it is running OK but still locks occasionally. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Install the 1.5 patch for battlefield 1942 .
This fixes the issues with 52.16 drivers .

Another option is to revert to 45.33

Since posting I have updated my motherboard bios and still having the same problems. I was reading somewhere that the these cards need massive power. I only have a 300w power supply pushing 3 fans, 2 cd drives, 2 hard drives, sound card, lan card, and 2 usb devices not to mention the video card. Should I get a bigger power supply or do I just have a bum video card. I have also read about numerous similar problems on other forum that relate to this card. Any help other than getting a new one is appreciated.
