Hello, I have had some problems gaming on my computer. When I attempt to play games such as World of Warcraft, Runescape, or GunZ, my computer will freeze. I will be left with no error message and have to manually shut down my computer by holding the power button. However, sometimes if I am lucky and can get 2-3 mins on the computer gaming sometimes my monitor will show a bunch of blotchy colours and the screen will be frozen like that for a few seconds. After it fixes, I get the error message in the botom corner saying: "Nvidia Driver Kernal has stopped working and recovered successfully." I'm pretty sure it says:"Nvidia Driver Kernal version XX.XXX ......" but I never get enough time to read it all as it is only there for a few seconds. I think this problem is concerning hardware. My video card only has 64mb. I have a Nvidia Geforce 6200SE Turbocache. HALP!!!

1. I'd suggest a new video card, more than likely. It could be something else, but it may just not be able to handle what you're playing anymore.

2. To get the kernel version, and the whole message, just use your digital camera, and when it pops up, immediately grab the camera, and take a picture (or two, in case first one is blurry).

Could be other issues, but may just need to replace the card. Otherwise, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, check for latest version.

Okay, I was planning on getting a new one in a few days so I will let you know if it fixes my problem.

I suggest the same: A new GFX card...

the 6200 is by no means a gaming card, but rather a low end office graphics card, and is possibly overheating in the process (GPU or RAM or BOTH)...

before installing any new GFX card, uninstall the old one from the DEVICE MANAGER, then power down the PC and replace card...

also DOWNLOAD the latest driver first for the new card...

How to ask a question, when posting them to a professional forum.
Only ask questions with yes/no answers if you want "yes" or "no"

Ok I got a new GFX card it's a Nvidia Geforce GT220. It was the problem :D but there is one situation: I have no sound. Any ideas?

Ok problem solver after browsing other forums I found out I had to change "Onboard Audio" in the BIOS from "Auto" to "Enabled." So everything's perfect, thank you!

Yeah, I was about to say that the audio device probably just got changed. If your new graphics card has HDMI out, that will be why this occured. The HDMI port will have its own audio driver. And oftentimes when you install a new audio adapter, Windows will change THAT to the default audio device... or else the driver installer does it.
