This is going to seem like a very stupid question but here goes.

I have an Asylum Nvidia 5950 Ultra with a S-Video connection which supposedly according to everything I have read should support video capturing from a VCR. The CD the card came with even has software for this.

I have a cable with a 8-pin connector for the PC side, and 4 wires outbound (comp out, comp in, s-vid in, s-vid out).

Here lies the dilema, the connection will not plug into the graphics card! The card socket looks as if it has 9-pins which the cable has 8???

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Did they send me the wrong cable? Thank you.
