Hello.
Why I have this in my NUTRP in all my interconnected exchanges? PRE = 00 ??? For what is it for?? I make my callings without any 00...Any idea??

-Extract of my NUTRP:-

ENTRY CNVTYP NUMTYP ROU PRE TRC NEWTYP CONT BCAP HLC
0 2 1 00 0
1 2 1 00 0
2 2 1 00 0
3 2 1 00 0
4 2 1 00 0
5 2 1 00 0
6 2 1 00 0
7 2 1 00 0
8 2 1 00 0
9 2 1 00 0

Thx in advance!

what this does, is format the connected number.

in this case NUMTYP= 1 this means that for international calls 00 will be prefixed.

let's say you receive a call from someone in france

without NUTRP, the connected number on the telephone display will look like 33124994949 (imaginary number)

with NUTRP this same number will be 0033124994949
this is handy if you have NLOG function or when you have a DECT and you want to call back to that number because you missed the call..

does this make sense for you?

Cheers,
Daddy

How comes the dest in front of the number in your example to engage the public line, if using nlog?

in his answer whosrdaady has been a little inaccurate.
If you want to call back a number stored in NLOG you have to prefix the PRE with the external destination code:
pre= X (ext. dest. code)00 for international calls.
If you have national calls you have to use numtyp=2 and pre=X0.

dufqi is correct, must have been sleeping when I wrote that answer... [spin]
