Nupoint Voicemail 1

Hi all

We have just installed a nupoint voicemail and have a number of mailboxes to set-up(1000).Does anybody know if there is a way to import these from a spreadsheet or maybe write a script.

you can range program but you will still need to program the names individually.

At least this was the case last time I checked.

I understand about the range programming but the mailboxes numbers are not in any order.

There must be a way to write a script file?

For you to use a text script you need to have the following:

1 - A ftp program, I use winscp

You need to create the file using the following paramiters:

To create a mailbox:

acreate m1=xxxx id=lastname,firstname fc=xx lc=xx mw1=x mw2=x

To set/reset a passcode:

asetpass m1=xxxx pw=xxxx

Using winscp, ftp the file into the nupoint and rename the extension from .txt to .sh


Then using putty or a terminal log into the voicemail.

1 - Select x to exit so you get a line prompt
2 - type dir to view the files
3 - type bash filename.sh

You will then see the file running on screen.

What I also do if there is a lot to input or change, I do all the work in excel and copy and paste into notepad.

In regards to the Nupoint scripting, Mitel will not support, do not know why. So there is a lot of guess work involved.

The email field I know how to update is the UM + MWI, which is:
