MCD 10.2.0.26_2
MAS 2.1.106 with Nupoint Blade 14.1.0.45

User has dynamic extension (cell phone and desk phone twinned)

User calls his direct number to retrieve voicemail messages, hears his greeting, presses star to get the 'please enter your passcode' but cannot break his greeting and retrieve messages remotely.

I arrive and test it with him and it works fine. Had him do it right in front of me and it worked every time (had him do it 4 times). User seems competent :) so I don't think it was user error.

Already have found one bug on this version of Nupoint that they have engineering looking at. Anyone else come across something similar? On hold with Mitel tech support atm... they must be busy today....

I know of a patch required to deal with one way audio issues.

Symptoms I've seen are greetings not being recorded or Messages.

Not accepting digits seems a reasonable extension of the issue.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

confused. You say he presses * to get the request for passcode. Is it continuing with the greeting and is he the only one with the problem?

Also you say it works when he tests with you. Is he dialing internally when it works? Did you dial out then in again and it worked?

sorry to be a pest.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Did you test the system externally ie with his mobile or from a internal extension... also how was he ringing his own number?... DDI from his home phone/mobile?

One way audio issues shouldn't be connected to this unless you are using the teleworker blade on the MAS... and if this is case then it'll be down to the nic cards configuration.

They told me it would continue with their greeting even after they pressed star.

I had the user test it with his cell phone in front of me by calling his DID. It worked every time.

Mitel tech support had me turn on cdr in the nupoint. I told customer that if/when it happens again to make note of the time and mailbox number.

Will update if anything comes out of this.

So the problem is intermitant and not all the time ( you were able to see it work )?

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.
