Hi Guys

Wonder if someone can help me.

Have a customer using 3300 4.1 and Nupoint. They have a call flow using call director that has a blind transfer to another extension. However when an external call reaches that other extension the phone rings as internal, even though it has the trunk info in the display. Anyone know if you can make the phone ring external, i.e. double ring rather than single ring?

Hope that makes sense!

Make sure these COS options are set to NO in both the trunk COS and the vmail COS
External Trunk Standard Ringback = No
ONS/OPS Internal Ring Cadence for External Callers = No

Also Make sure the transfer string includes an H at the end. Assuming you want Blind transfer that is.

Supernova, already checked those

KWB, the default is S+XH, do you suggest putting the extra + in??

Apart from that everything looks fine. Have you actually got this working?

This is not something I pay attention to and I've not had the complaint from my customers.

Have you tried a transfer from a standard phone to see if it works the same way?

HI KWB

Asked Mitel and aparently it's design intent, no way of changing it

If it is essential that you have external ringback you could of course route the call over IP trunking loopback (assuming you have IP trunking enabled)
This way the Call Director would make a ARS call over IP trunks which loopback in to the switch to the answer point required.
As the call is being routed over trunks it should provide external ringback.
