Installing an upgrade to latest Nupoint Messenger load on a provided Dell Server for an island resort. The IP end users have no problems accessing their mailboxes. The analogue guests are not as lucky. The PMS says that "the strings are incomplete." The serial port on the server now has a serial to IP converter attached to transport the analouge signal?
This property was working until this upgrade was done.
If you manually open the guest mailbox it stays open guest after guest in that room.

The serial to IP converter is for the PMS system. It sends messages to the Nupoint to check guests in and out via RS232 messages.

The IP converter is on which server, the PMS or the Nupoint? Typically it would be on the PMS system and the converter would update the Nupoint via IP. Since the Nupoint server has changed but the PMS has not I would guess you have an issue on how the PMS integration is currently setup on the new Nupoint server.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Incomplete string makes me think that one system is talking HIS and the other is talking Encore.
