Hi Guys,
I have the following problem. I have created a line group on my nupoint with one port in it to play a RAD message. If I call the ports extn number it plays the message but I cant get the message to play if I call a Path or Hunt group with the port allocated as the RAD message in it does not play my greeting.I have tried setting the ports COS to be a RAD port, I have also tried putting the port in a RAD hunt group but with no success

Any Ideas

Couple of questions. How do you have the line group setup? Do you hear anything when the RAD should play?

Just a note but nomrmally we use the embedded voicemail to do RADs. Doesn't waste a Nupoint port.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

You dont get any embedded ports now if you have Nupoint Licences unless you buy embedded licences. The Line group is set up for call director and then I recorded the prompt for the line group and if I call the extn in the line group it plays my message. No one seems to be able to tell me if the port should be set with a COS for a RAD or a Nupoint COS. I have used the embedded ports with out issues for years but I havent any ports to play with

Thanks for your help . Just been sent a patch for the Nupoint to fix this

I had a problem on 14.1.0.45 where if you set the COS to a RAD (Which you are supposed to) it would not play any audio. This was a problem of NuPoint as it would do some sort of checking and because the audio is only one (announcement only) it would fail. This is a bug and will be fixed in the next release.

The easiest way for us to fix it was to purchase 1 mailbox license in the 3300 to open up all the voicemail ports to be used as RADs, as LoopyLou said it doesn't use up any valuable NuPouint ports.

Hope patch helps. One point only need one voicemailbox license to open up the embedded voicemail to be used as RAD's. Embedded voicemail RADs don't consume mailbox licenses so one license simply turns on the embedded. Cheap way to get RAD's to my thinking.

I need to use a RAD port on the embedded vm of the 3300, to do RAD on the receptionist's phone.

I have a Nupoint v14.1.0.45.01 connected to a 3300 MXe MCD 4.1 SP2

The calls come in a PRI, and I direct them using speed calls. I pointed a DID to a call director. If I call the RAD port on the embedded vm it rings no answer. If I call any other port on the embedded I get the standard greeting, and from there the RAD will answer.. Any ideas? Thanks!
