Nupoint Email buffer deletion

I have a customer who has voicemail to email on their NuPoint. They put in a bogus IP Address for the SMTP server until they were ready to give this options to their users. Now six months later, the changed the IP Address to the correct SMTP server's address. Once they did that, users are getting emails This message contains unscannable attachments that could not be verified
virus free. Open only if you were expecting this message.
Followed by this;

Which goes on for over a full minute.

My questions is, Is there a way to delete all records waiting to get to the email server on the NuPoint?
 
NuPoint uses qmail to send mail. You could log in with root access and purge the queue from Linux CLI. If you google "How to purge qmail queue" or something similar, you'll find all the commands you need. Your other best (safest) bet would be to contact Mitel Tech Support and ask them to log in remotely and purge it. However, Mitel probably won't support you if you mess up something from the Linux CLI, so be careful.

Most probably than not, it's quicker to just let qmail flush his queue and ask your users to delete all those useless backlog emails they will receive.
