Nupoint advanced UM playback through phone using Outlook 1

3300 with Mas/uca/mca/mbg/nupoint - very current

Can playback be initiated through outlook to play back to the phone instead of the speakers of the pc?

No. The Nupoint used to have the feature to initiate a call to your phone to play and it was removed ( Nupoint 5 I think ). It is supposed to be put back in the software but no idea when. Have a customer moving from an ESNA voicemail to Nupoint and they are major pissed this was removed. The have a noisy enviroment in one area ( warehouse ) and want the feature. Luckily they bought UCA and can use the softphone to send the voicemail playback to their deskphone.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

You need to install the outlook client plugin.
You can download it from the portal login.
FCOS bit 250 Allow NP PWG View login needs to be checked
FCOS bit 303 Disable PWG downloads needs to be UNchecked

This plugin will allow you to play voice messages in outlook through your phone

There do not appear to be any Outlook Plugins via the portal. (or anywhere else I can find)

hmmm...
I am using 3300 with Mas/uca/mca/mbg/nupoint - very current - at our office too.
When I login to the portal I get the tabs: Messages, Settings, Distribution Lists, Greetings, Downloads
Under the Downloads tab I have a 'Download Client Plug-in' button.

Different portal maybe, I was assuming the MAS portal. Your list looks like it's nupoint specific.

OK, I've found the documentation that says this should be possible but I would be a lot more comfortable if I could see the portal with the download that you're speaking about.

I've searched the MAS directly and I can't find the file on it.

Ignore that last, as soon as I hit send I realised where it might be.

It's on the 1st Nupoint DVD (Same as the MapiGW)

It's the MAS portal. Just typing in the IP address of the MAS server gets me to the 'My Unified Communications' login
I have access to both my Nupoint mailbox and MCA while in the portal

My FCOS has bits 250, 251, 252 and 260, 261, 262, 263 enabled
Feature bits 257, 258, 259 are disabled
The above feature bits are in the category 'NP view features'

... and feature bit 290 is enabled (don't know why they don't have it under the category 'NP view features')
