Hi

We have an issue with a customer that has Nupoint AA fronted vm, below are the issues, any help would be very helpful.

1. You cannot dial ARS routes from the AA you get that is an invalid extn all other extns dial ok from the AA, dial plan is enabled for the digits in nupoint.

2.When callers press the option for the sw/bd the call is answered by the operator if she then extends to a extn and this is call rerouted to vm you get the AA rather than the called extn vm.

3.same as 2 above when they press the option for the sw/bd the operator answers the call but there is no incoming CLI it just says nupoint, but cli is ok if you dial a incoming ddi number.

Thanks

1). Typically you don't allow people to dial ARS strings through the AA as it leads to toll fraud. This is dangerous.
2). Attendant is staying on the call and the Nupoint sees the call as coming from the Attendant which will not have a voicemail.
3). Need the COS option to display CLI on transfers in the VM ports COS.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Ok thanks but,

1.They need to be able to dial the extns that are ARS routes as these are Softphones on there pcs which connect to the Mitel3300 via SIP trunks to Lync server.

2. So if the operator releases the call it might go to the extns vm instead of AA.

3.The cos of the attendant is allowed for CLi but you still do not get any CLI if coming from the AA

1). Well you can alter the numbers that the AA can dial just don't do 9 if that is a trunk access code. You have to go into line group programming for that. Otherwise you could create system speed dials that dial the ARS strings. That provides more protection.

2).It should see that the call is being forwarded from the extension and go to the sets mailbox.

3). Read my post. Its the COS of the VM ports not the Attendant that are the issue. From your info the call goes to the AA, then when the caller dials something it goes to the attendant. That means the call is answered by the VM port then gets transfered to the attendant. What you need is the voicemail port to pass on the CLI of the party BEING transferred and I believe that a COS option.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
