We were having some issues with some choppy audio on our nupoint server and I called mitel to find out the issue. They said there was a dpar for DL 320's and said there was a workaround for choppy audio issues.
The workaround is to go into the BIOS and then look under Advanced Options for the Embedded SATA Raid options (off by default) and turn this on. They said with this value off, throughput on the server is cut in half to 32 mb/sec.
My question is, would turning an option like that on in the bios cause the Hard drives to operate differently, possibly even lose data? I'm about to call mitel back and get their take but I wanted to find out if anyone on the board has already tried this.
