I was wondering if there is any way to have you files listed numericly rather than alphanumeric

What do you mean .
In my xp i have detailed view on folders
and file listing is numeric first and then alfanumeric .

Or are you talking about cmd prompt window and DIR .

One of these should sort it out for you.

319827 - The Sort Order for Files and Folders Whose Names Contain Numerals Is Different in Windows XP Than It Is in Windows 2000

318872 - Windows Explorer Incorrectly Sorts Files and Folders with 10 or More Consecutive Numerals

177482 - Start Menu and Favorites Menu Are Not Listed in Alphabetical Order

I mean in a windows box or rather a network window I have lists of data that are all numbers and it lists them alpanumericly I would prefer them to be numeric because it would be alot easier to find the files:)
