I have a text field numeric with 2 decimal places used with as imput mask of $$99,999.99
I am using other software off the shelf ("non-vfp"), that has the ability to take alpha as well as the numeric.

Is there a way to build in that ability into my "numeric" fields?

Any feedback is appreicated.

Each digit that contains a "9" in the inputmask means you can only enter a number there. If you want the digits to be alpha as well, you'll need to change each 9 to an X:

$$XX,XXX.XX

Make sure the underlying data type isn't numeric before doing this!
