numbers dialed accumulates in window of 7406+ phone and 8410D phone

I have a Definity G3 PBX that works fine. I have a station, it was reported that the numbers he was dialing was showing up in the window and staying. The more numbers you dial out, the more the numbers keep piling up showing in the window. I was thinking it was the phone itself, so I swapped out the 7406+ for a brand new 8410D, and getting the same thing. I changed the cord running into the phone from the jack too....getting same results with numbers dialed accumulating in the window. Has anyone seen this before?
 
Can you ensure there is a port assigned to that phone.
 
yeah, phone functionality is fine. Works and sound clarity is superb. Just that the hardware is accumulating all the numbers dialed in the window.
 
On the Station form, make sure the Display Module field is set to 'y'.

I did find that option for display module to be set to 'n'. I changed it to 'y' per your recommendation Kevin. I will have to test to see what that affects. I will get back to you (here) with outcome. hmmmmmm
 
That did not resolve this issue. I cannot think what the problem might be?
 
I've seen this happen when the station has a 'x' port. When this happens the phone will still be able to make calls, but wouldn't receive and the display def accumulates. If that's not the case there's a feature access code to refresh station parameters.. try doing that.
 
feature access code? I have an old Definity G3. I am not aware of how to do a feature access code check\option on this box. The attachment shows the complete configuration of the problematic station on my system. Phone works accordingly, just the screen accumulates all the numbers that are pushed.

Change the set type to 8410D and your problems will go away.

HOLY SHMOKES!!! That corrected it! Mucho thanks to lopes1211. GO figure making the wrong configuration fixes things.

When the wrong phone is plugged in perform a "status station" and ensure both the Administered Type and Connected Type match up:

When you change Display to 'y' did you add a Normal button?

Since I seem to be having a great day with results here on the forum today.....can anyone provide information or experience with the following thread690-1740736 ?
Ghost calls coming to a station on my Definity G3.
