Numbering styles in Word

I have got a problem with creating numbered paragraph styles.
Does anyone know a way of making 'restart numbering' rather than 'continue from previous list' as the default for a paragraph style. Im creating some customised numbering styles but these always default to continuing the numbering whenever they are used.

I'm trying to to create some user templates, and not having to explain how to restart numbering manually to users would be helpfull
