I know several people have posted useful methods for getting numbering of records etc to show in reports. My question concerns doing the same except that I'm trying to only have the numbers appear and increment when the row contains non duplicated items, as in the rows are in a sub-grouping wherein the field on which the subgrouping is based has the property Hide Duplicates set to Yes.

I want:

1 CABLE TV ASIA II MISO CABLE
LAIF T.V. CIDADE
LAIF CABLEMAS

2 INTERNET EEIF EON d.o.o.

What I get is:

1 CABLE TV ASIA II MISO CABLE
2 LAIF T.V. CIDADE
3 LAIF CABLEMAS

4 INTERNET EEIF EON d.o.o.

Any ideas?

Rather than using Hide Duplicates, make your report have a GroupHeader on the thing that is being counted, then the numbering techniques will work the way you describe.
