Hi,
I have a large document, coded in postscript. I need to be able to print numbered copies (with each page showing the copy number), without the print shop editing my document.
What I have in mind is the use of a print control file that specifies the number ranges to print (eg 1-10, 31-50, etc), with either:
a) the print control file calling my document and running a loop to insert the copy numbers and create the numbered copies; or
b) my document calling the print control file and looping however many times is needed to create the numbered copies.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to restrict the printable copies to a list of valid numbers defined in my document (because I sometimes need to use broken number ranges), but I'd settle for just being able to have a control file that can specify the first and last copy numbers.
Any ideas?
Cheers
