Have a query for a report accessesing a table for inventory transactions. Shows all transaction types as positive numbers in a volume column . For the report need to show the detail row entries but adding the transaction types such as Opening inventory, and purchases but subtracting the sales, thus giving a final total. Each entry has a field identified as a transaction type. Have been trying to pick the sales transactions and make them a negative number, then the report just adds the column. Is this the way if so how or can this be done in the report spec's where it adds everything except the Sales which it subtracts?
