I dial an 877 number directly from my desk, and it "somewhere" - but NOT where it should go.

When I dial from elsewhere (cell, home) - it goes where I need it to go. How do I find out where that number gets re-translated?

I believe I'm dealing with a Definity G3.

Thanks in advance.

The system administrator can tell you where each number is translated in the ars analysis table probably just needs to be adjusted. The command to look from the terminal is "li tra sta" then they can see where its going from you station

Hey Tom,

Type:

list ars route 1877nxxxxxx

It will show you which route the 877 calls will take.

Type:

display route xx

to see the trunk groups that the route uses to send a call, and the order they are used.

800, 888, 877, and 866 calls should all go to a local CO connection (not an LD connection).

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

Schweeet. I shall try this on Monday.
