Client with a MICS 7.0 PRI. They want ext. 2345 to be able to be called internally and forwarded out to a cell number. No problem I just set up a ROUTE and a DEST code 2345 to the cell number. ROUTE is 234 and DEST is 2345.

They also want the DID number to be able to be called which is 444-2345 and anyone calling via the AA who dials 2345. The problems seems to be that I can not program a TARGET line with RN 2345 so I can assign it. Any way around this or any suggestions?

DNs are for internal users only. (The AA is considered an internal user as it is managed by the system.)
RNs are for external users only. (The CO is considered an external user as it is not managed by the system.)
Destination codes are for both internal and external users.

This means that you can have a DN and a RN that are the same. It also means that you can't have a DN and a destination code that are the same, nor a RN and a destination code that are the same.

I'd change the destination code so it begins with another digit, 3 for example. Your destination code would become 3345. It would make your numbering plan easy to follow:

[ul]
[li]RNs are the same as DNs[/li]
[li]Numbers that begin with 2 are for internal extensions[/li]
[li]Numbers that begin with 3 are for external forwarding[/li]
[li]Numbers that end with the three same digits are related[/li]
[/ul]

You don't need a different destination code to forward to the cell phone.
If they have a PRI, they already have a des code and routing defined. The des code is most likely a 9 that points to a route using the PRI.
To enable ECF (External Call Forward) on the phone, make sure "Allow Redirect" for the DN is set to Y.
The go to the phone, press Feature 4 and input 9 and then the forwarding destination phone number.
Blow out that 2345 Des Code and then you can configure your TL and assign it to the set.
Now you can call 2345 from AA, Internally, and via DID.
If you're trying to accomplish all of this without using a device, you will need to follow Multimediums suggestion.
You can also follow my instructions and then unplug the phone.
It will continue to work until the Norstar loses power or is rebooted.
