I have a report (CR10) which is has a number parameter and the default values are 11,12,13. When I preview this report in CR it displays the parameter as 11 or 12 or 13 but when I preview this report in CE10 the parameter is getting displayed as 11.00, 12.00, 13.00. I want the parameter to be displayed as 11,12,13 in CE also.

I tried changing the no. of decimal places from control panel-regional settings. It did not work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Change the parameter to text and in your Record Selection formula, use tonumber(?Parameter Name).

techie, that's not very good avice - by doing so, goodprg would eliminate the possibility of the record selection criteria being passed to the database for processing.

goodprg - I'm not aware of any method of doing what you ask. If there's a simple answer, I'd like to know, too, so that I can avoid this in my implementations.

Hi Kurt,

I created a paratemer with String type and used tonumber(?parameter) in record selection criteria for TESTING purpose.

It does push it to the database.

Can you confirm on this.

techie2, you're correct - I apologize. I tested it against both SQL Server and Access DBs and it passed in both instances. I'm curious to see if it would pass in a complex formula.

There are very few Crystal functions that pass to the database consistently, among them are: Switch, Choose and IIF. Additionally, some date functions pass if Convert DateTime values to Datetime is selected.

Hi rhinok, Techie2

Thanks for the posts. This is what I figured. We had to restart our page server, job server, WCS with administrator account and in the control panel - regional setting I changed the no. of digits after decimal places to 0.

It works now.
