I have a question of sorts that has peaked my curiuosity. How many wireless clients could be feed from a 1.5 dsl line? Lets say this will go from a zoom x5 modem\gateway\switch into a terabeam bandwidth manager out to an inscape data access point. And how would you calculate this? All users would be set to 256 up and 128 down in the bandwith manager.

i meant to say they would be 256 down and 128 up. I appreciate the calculator but it gives me no idea of how many users I could put on a connection of this type and still give them all adequate speeds. Any thoughts?

What you are asking for would be hard to give. What is adequate speeds? What are they going to be doing with the bandwidth? (watching streaming videos will take a lot of bandwidth, occasional web traffic, a lot less) Im not sure that I would find that speed sufficient for just me in some cases.

I'm trying to eliminate the cost of a T-1 line. I'm moving most of ny clients to dsl lines and I have a few out of dsl reach who I'd like to keep as customers. So I'm thinking if I can get down to 10 or less pc's I could put them on a dsl line and with the above mentioned equipment keep them all happy. They are mostly home users who are doing school stuff and a little surfing. No heavy usage at all. Some would only be on during the day and others only at night. Now do you think my plan would work?
