number of rings is set to 3 1

PSTN incoming LS line going into FXO port, (2811 router) if I want the the line to ring 3 times before the FXO port picks up, instead of the default 1, I'm thinking saving and re-booting the router would be required is this correct ?

once you make the change just shut down the voice port and bring it back up.. Type (show voice-port 0/0) example for an output of the port.

I did that and it didn't seem to help by itself just seems to wait a little longer before the FXS port rings, I'll get the config info up in a day or two
