I understand that the number of records searched in a browse operation is limited by the registry key. The default, I understand is 500. I am using CR 8.0 and I have Windows 97 (yes, I know I am an antique). Is there a way I can change the windows in the Windows 97? If yes, how? And, another challenge, is there a way I can change the browse records to display, say, the most recent 200 records or most recent 4oo records ?

you have no control over the number of records in a Browse window...it is just a sampling of the data. Imagine if there were 1000's of unique records....impossible to browse.

I'm not aware of a Windows 97, just Windows 95 and 98.

Try going to Start->Run and typing regedit, it should work.
