I would like to know how many records an Access database can hold? How many records can be held in each table?

Thank you,

Claire Daly

Help says the limit is 2Gb but I don't know how well Access will actually perform with that much data. We've been running a database for ten years. It's grown to 48Mb, the main table's up to 150,000 records and performance is becoming an issue.

Nobody wants to spend any money on an upgrade but the users are beginning to moan at me<g>.

Hi, two things:

Try a compact and repair if you have not done so in a while.

Under Tools \ Options \ General, if the AutoCorrect option is turned on, turn it off.

hope that helps.
