I have NNM version 7.5. Until a couple of days ago the node count (seen in properties ovtopodump and via properties of the Internet icon) was 699. Now it is 4717 and rising at a rate of about one per minute. If I look at the inventory I see 180 switches, 66 routers, 400-odd networks and segments. I cannot see anything like 4700. I have exceeded the license and cannot add new devices.

There is clearly something wrong with the database. I have tried ovtopofix and ovw -mapcount (all possible options) but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Try an 'ovtopodump -l' (lower-case L) and see how many managed nodes OV thinks that it has.

I'm guessing that your auto-discovery has started finding user PCs for some reason.

If this is the case, then maybe you need to apply or modify a discovery filter ??? (lots of guessing going on here)
