I have a new install coming up and an looking for some general advise on the pro/cons of 3 digit verus 4 digit dialing plans.
The details:
BCM 400 running Release 3.7 software.
2 PRI circuits with a DID range of 100 numbers.
80 T7316e telephone sets.
CallPilot with unifined messaging for 75 users.
Call Center Professional/Multimedia with 10 agents.
IVR integration for 24 ports. (to be activated later).
With a four digit plan the extensions would be 86xx. .. three digit.. 6xx.
The customer is used to three digit extensions. I'd prefer to set the BCM up for four. Or is this a foolish question as I have heard some folks state that a BCM should always be setup with four digit extensions.
