Hi
I'm running performance analyser for my DB. Some of my forms are quite busy but some are very basic.
The Analyser is suggestimh i user fewer controls - but many of my forms have say 7/8 combo boxes with an additional close button.
Surely this cannot be correct.
Perhaps i'm doing something wrong.
Regards
Chris

How are ya AFKAFB . . . . . .

The two magic words here are [blue]Performance[/blue] & [blue]Suggestion[/blue] and no more than that!.

The more objects you have on a form, [blue]the longer it takes to load.[/blue] The more objects you have that have to load their own data . . . like comboboxes/listboxes, [blue]loading takes even longer.[/blue] Its the combo's that are being flagged by the analyzer!

When you look at the analyzer what your really looking for is any [blue]Recommendations![/blue] These are the items you should give good examination. As long as Recommend doesn't come up, your design is pretty much OK.

The analyzer was [purple]meant to be a guide[/purple] . . . not a bible. Its up to you to decide if say . . . a [blue]Suggestion[/blue] is worthy of examination. For instance: if you have to have your 50 combo's on a form, then the suggestion of using fewer controls is meaningless!

Get the Idea . . .
