Number of Archive for DB for micros 3700 1

Our current system has windows task scheduler which runs "backuprun" batch file and backs up the database every 3 hours. Unfortunately it only keeps archive files for two days.
How do I increase the number of Archive files (mbz5g2) to at least one month, i.e. 30X5? My backup drive is huge so there is no space issue.

Thats a lot of back up! What purpose are they for? And doing backups every 3 hours and then validating them would use a lot of system resources and slow down your POS transactions.

We had few issue with out hardware and software and now we are over cautious. May be later we will reduce once we procurer new hardware. Any idea on how to increase the number of archive files, please?

POSCONFICG System, Restaurant, Options, Number of DB backups. No idea what the limit is.

I think the limit is 99 from what I have experimented with in DB manager.

MXAP - the bat file for your backup - any chance of posting the text from it, I am having trouble getting mine to work properly.

Where does it save by default, the location's setup in the database manager gui console?

It will save where ever you want. Setup the desitination in DB GUI manager.
