Hi all,

We're using a Meridian 1 system and something weird is happening.

Our number is example 833-2200, let's say we call internall from extension 5005, the receiving phone displays 833-5005???

It should be displaying 833-2200.

HELP!!!!!!!

If you call internal from ext. 883-5005, that's what it will show to another internal phone. I'm sorry I think I am misunderstanding. are you wanting to show only 883-2200 on all calls?

I explained it incorrectly, Internally our extensions show up only, this is ok, like 5005 only.

The problem is when the person who is receiving the call externally they are seeing 514-833-5005 instead of 514-833-2200 our main number.

If a person tries and call us at 514-833-5005, it will not work because it's not a direct number. They must dial 514-833-2200 ext 5005.

Does that help?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE CLID SET UP IN YOUR SWITCH, IF YOU DON'T HAVE DID'S IT'S NOT THE GREATEST IDEA

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Hi Perrypj,

Sorry i'm sort of a newbie at this, How can i check if i have CLID setup? How do i setup DID's.

What does CLID and DID stand for???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In LD 21. PRT
CLID
This will tell you what your switch is sending out. If there is nothing there then the problem will be with Telco.

So, when in LD 21 prt i should see CLID or DID?
If it's CLID, is it hard to switch to DID?

Has nothing to do with DID, it is the Calling Line ID, it will send out whatever you have programmed.

REQ PRT
TYPE CLID
CUST 0
RNGE {Enter}

This will print out all CLID's

So i need to change every TN CLID to have the number displayed correctly to external call display?

Note the following...
HNTN 704
ESA_HLCL 393
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 393
DIDN YES
HLOC 393
LSC
This is how one of our switches is set up.
704=area code
393=NXX
DIDN=DID

Do i have to set DIDN to yes in entry 0?

ENTRY 0
HNTN 514
ESA_HLCL 8332200
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 8332200
DIDN NO
HLOC
LSC
CLASS_FMT DN

ENTRY 1
HNTN 514
ESA_HLCL 833
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 833
DIDN YES
HLOC
LSC
CLASS_FMT DN

REQ:

No, but on your set programming you need Key 0 to read as follows:
KEY 0 SCR XXXX 1

This will send the Info for the ext. instead of the main number.
