I've designed a number of reports using CR 10 which contain date range parameters by year. The year field is a number format (2,004.00)in the database, so I added descriptions to the default values(2004). When I publish the report to CE 10, I get drop-downs that have the correct year format, but when you select one, the box next to the drop-down still has the number format. Is there any way to change this formatting in CE to eliminate the comma and decimal places??

Your post doesn't make sense as a number cannot be 2,004 as that would be a string.

The fact that an application might return it in that format is a matter of a mask, not how it's stored.

If it is stored in that format, then it is a string.

Right click the field in Crystal and select Browse Data to learn what Crystal is seeing the data type as.

To change the formatting of number in Crystal right click the field and select format field, or you can do so globally for reports going forward by using the File->Options
