Hello,

I have a simple order form. The main form mentioned the addresse of a customer and the subform one to many articles.
Each articles is grouped to restrict the number of articles.
Groupes and articles are selected along dropdown box. This works fine.

However, we want to transform this little application to touchscreen application. I like to work with a number dashbord from 1 to 9. So the user can select number 2 for group 2 and after this lets say number 25 for article 25. The question is how to with one dashbord numbers (1 to 9) to select and add this to the subform (with a parameter and add to query ?).

Any ID welcome, thanks.

What if the customer wants article 20? Or is that like the 13th floor?

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my old subtlety...
for a NUANCE![tongue]

There are about 1000 articles. The users knows to with group the article(s) belong. So lets say, article 25 always belons to group to 2. If he select 2 he can select 25. I am open to any better ID.

Hear you.

I'd hazard a guess that Skip means you can't select 20 on a [1-9] keyset, as there is no [0] key.

ok, misunderstanding, yep, your have reason, I should add a 0 -9. I would find out this soon, on developing it, but my first worry is how to use an indepent numbered dashbord and add the selected number to a subform. My first ID is to use a parameter query and after a button click (confirmation) add this to the subquery (the ordered articles).

If you have this working from two pulldowns, I assume you are referencing these controls in a query. If you could do that, I would think that you instead could have text boxes that you save the group and article number. Now use these textboxes in your query instead of your comboboxes.

Yep, I use now 2 pulldowns and referencing these controls in a query. The ID of texboxes is ok. I think I should make a 0-9 mini panel. When touching here a number, the value is send to a textbox. The query is using this number. I think about it a bit further and do some tests.

See You.
