NULL value and store procedure

Is there a way to give in parameter of a store procedure a NULL value. My procedure is to insert element in a table and i give in parameter host values and for those which are not define the null value but it refuse the terme NULL. how can i solve this problem.

Other thind is there an equivalence for tha oracle sql terme EXEC SQL WHENEVER SQLERROR DO i m not satisfied by the "go to" solution

if someone is interest i think i've got the solution
i use a host variable struct indicators{short int} and i initialize it with the value -1 in my store procedure i use it as an indicator
that seems to work
