NULL characters and limitations in DTS

hi there...
i'm new to sql server 2000 and i hope u guys canhelp me with this slight problem...

i have a data file containing records to put in a database.
within the file itself, there are NULL characters and somehow DTS doesnt regsiter those NULL characters but merely stops reading the file...anyway to get around this?

another thing is does DTS has a maximum limit for a line in a file? my file has a total of 4183 characters in one line and i cant seem to put in any more sepeartors after 4090...

pls help..
