Here is the situtation. Last week we were using crystal 7 and the situation described below worked flawlessly. This week we upgraded to crystal 8.5 and now my formulas do not appear be working. My 2 formulas are there, but the values are blank/null.

Last week I modified a batch report to sum the totals of distriubted cash (18 different areas to distribute) for a peticular batch (about 5 to 60 batches a report). I should mention at this point that grouping is used to summerize the batches into 1 row for each batch, without this the report goes from 16 pages to 90 pages.

There was another formula that found the difference between my sum and the actual batch amount. This would allow the department to spot any data entry errors with in a peticula batch.

Sounds simple. 1 formula that adds 18 fields together across 1 one and another that subtracted the difference between my formula and the acutal batch total that was imported into the report.

I noticed that crystal 8.5 leaves a field blank if the value is $0.00 but I don't see how this would effect my formulas that have a value > $0.00

Under file, options, make sure the "convert null field value to default" check box is selected, and try this again. Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

That did not change anything on the report that I could see. Jason Meckley
