I have an application that runs fine except on a NT workstation. The user ran it a couple times without a problem, but now he gets an error and gets bumped out of the application. The error references NTVDM.exe. From debugging, I am able to determine that the error occurs when the program tries to sort the database. I tried indexing, but same problem. I've tried OPTEDIT with 4096K setting, and also without OPTEDIT. I've compiled with EXOSPACE. BLINKER produces worse results. Do I need to incease the allocation to OPTEDIT or is there another fix?
You can always email me with any help at CLARKDG@AOL.COM. Thanks.

I had a similar problem with DOS apps in an NT4 environment. I suggest the Microsoft Knowledgebase as a good reference for NTDVM (NT Virtual DOS Machine). There is a substantial article on the subject. There may simply be a conflicting DOS application running.
