I have been running dbaseiv under XP with no problems until I received a 16 Bit MS-DOS Subsystem error stating The NRVDM CPU has encountered an unhandled exception - choose close. I have tried downloading TameDOS because I believe the Dbaseiv is hogging the system but it isn't helping right now - maybe after I get dbaseiv to open again since I know it does slow my windows programs down. Any ideas on this error and what to do to solve?

When you run your DOS applications, are you using Cmd.exe (black icon) or Command.com (colorful MSDOS icon)? Try using COMMAND.COM instead and it may resolve at least somewhat the issue. In the icon's Properties' Misc tab, move the indicator for Idle Sensitivity to the right.
