We've got 1 Dell Optiplex GX150, on Win2k in the office which is giving us an annoying problem.
The PC is used by about 5 different users and from time to time the display sizes of windows go flying off the top and bottom of the screen. This also causes Outlook to go completely blank even though it says its OK.
The event ID is saying its an Event ID 41:
WMI ADAP unable to create object XXXXXXXfor performance library XXXXXXXX because no value was found in the 009 subkey.
I've checked the counter values data but nothing seems to be obviously blank or out of lace etc.
Now, renaming the NTUSER.dat fixes it but it also wipes outlook, word and other software settings which is a pain in the bahookie to set up.
Does any1 have any clues as to why this key/Value is constantly messing up?
Symptoms include taking a long time to start up/shut down and genrally being a bit slower than it should for a PIII but only by a small degree.
Cheers
Craig
