My SDB on my SSC went bad and my only replacement is a NTTK25CA. Tried installing it to the SSC card, but its not recognized. Have been reading that the firmware needs to be upgraded on the SSC for it to work which would explain everything. The question is what is the procedure for updating my SSC in order for it to recognize the newer NTTK25CA SDB? Curious also, where would i go to identify the current version of firmware loaded in the system to verify?

You need to get into the utilities menu which ie ctrl "I". Select 3 and I think it's either 6 or 7 for flash rom etc. If you can a PCMCIA card with the operating software on it, then you should be able to upgrade or even do a restore depending upon what is already on the SSC card.
