NTRH2013 cable

Hi everybody,

I am about to install a call pilot stand alone server (702t). But the location of the server will be far longer than the supplied NTRH2013 cable. My question is: Can I extend the lenght of this cable by cutting and splicing it, as an ordinary telephone tech will going to do. What will be the consequences.
