Is there any parameter available for limited the range the ntpdate command to change the date and time?

Why do you want to alter the timer, is there a problem?
I assume you've read the ntpdate man pages. Apart from ntpdate there is only ntpq which also has a help facility. This cmd can display timeout and versions etc but I don't think it changes timers.
ntpq
ntpq>help
ntpq>quit
