I have 3 slackware 10.2 servers. All are configured with EST as the time zone.

When I run "ntpdate -4 -u clock.psu.edu" on the "good" server I get the expected time. When I run this command on the other two, I get a time that is advanced 4 hours from what it should be. Whats happening to me?

That is a difficult one to answer....just kidding.

Regarding your servers, are you sure they are all on the same timezone?
When you run timeconfig (or tzconfig) you should log out and log in again to have your timezone updated.

Life is what happens when you are making other plans.

It sounds as if two of your systems are set to have the hardware clock use UTC and the "good" server is using local time, or vice versa.
