Hello,

I have a "windows 2000" ntp server and i would like to use it for synchronising time of my "AIX" client.

How can i do this?

Thanks for your answers.

put win2k hostname on server line in /etc/ntp.conf, should work fine if win2k follows NTP standard. also start xntpd.

IBM Certified -- AIX 4.3 Obfuscation

ntpdate <name of your ntpserver> for a 1 time sync
or you can start the daemon xntpd with conf file as mentioned above
